- Connection Newspapers
Jenna St. John first wrote Conquering the Rose as a novel, inspired by the medieval French poem, "Roman De La Rose" by Guillaume de Lorris and Jean de Meun. After multiple failed attempts of finishing the novel, Jenna decided to finish the story as a screenplay, a format she was accustomed to seeing with her acting background. After the screenplay was finished, she teamed up with J. Michael Whalen of Torasu Productions. Whalen co-produced (with St. John), directed and ultimately edited the film.
